Criteria to become a Mary Poppins Candidate:

LOCAL CANDIDATES:

  1. Minimum of 21 years old. There is no maximum age however most parents prefer not to have someone who is older than them
  2. Minimum of 2 years formal experience with contactable references
  3. Own car and drivers license (with min of 1 year driving experience)
  4. First Aid Certificate
  5. Please note, that babysitting is not considered sufficient experience.

MIDDLE EASTERN CANDIDATES:
  1. Between 27 - 45 years old females only
  2. Minimum of 5 years formal experience in the au pair/nanny, governess/tutor or teaching field.  Preferably a tertiary education, but continued experience very important. ALL references must be contactable by phone and email and have to provide a written reference.
  3. Preferably unattached. Your family cannot go with you. Anyone with children under the age of 10-12 will NOT be considered for Middle Eastern positions unless you have a very good support system in place and can proof it.
  4. Wiling to commit for a period of 2 years. (you get 1 month's leave in between)

Please be sure that you  meet all the criteria as listed above. 

Registration Process:

  • Complete the Pre-Registration Form
  • Should you fit the criteria we will send you the necessary forms to complete
  • EMAIL your forms with scanned copies of your passport / ID and Driver's license (colour scans please), certificates / diplomas and written references. Also email a recent photo of yourself or mms a photo taken with your phone to 0832 454 1282
  • We will then arrange an interview with you as soon as all the registration process is completed.  A R100 registration fee will be payable at the interview (for local jobs only.  Different rates applies for Middle Eastern candidates).
  • Once all information and references have been verified we will contact you to discuss the possible jobs before sending your CV to clients
  • Please ensure that all documents are received before the interview and that any outstanding documents are brought with to the interview. This will speed up the process and as we may already have possible jobs lined up for you, this is very important.
