Why choose Mary Poppins?

  • We only recruit candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years experience, thoroughly screened and  truly interested in working with your children. Because I prefer to recruit specifically for your family, it may take a bit longer but I promise it will be worth the wait.

  • We guide you through the entire process and are there for support and advice even after the placement has been finalised.
  • We offer a refund policy with a guarantee period of 3 months, and as we value our clients we also offer a discount on future placements.
  • We are available to answer your questions and help with new contracts even after the guarantee period has expired.

How do I go about registering as an Employer?

  • To ensure that I find a person that closely match your requirements I need as much detail as possible.
  • You can Contact Us with details of your requirements and needs.
  • If you prefer to have a meeting to discuss your needs it can be arranged at a time convenient for you.
  • A client registration form needs to be completed and signature of our Terms of Business is necessary.
  • Allow yourself enough time to find the right person wherever possible - hasty decisions often turn  out to be less than perfect solutions.
  • Middle Eastern Clients please click here for specific information on placements in your country.

What happens next?
  • If I have candidates on the database that match your requirements I will immediately forward the profiles to you.  Our candidate profiles portray everything that you want to know about a prospective candidate, including a photograph, all references and reference checks done.
  • If we do not have a candidate that matches your description we will start advertising immediately and usually have a good response within a period of a week - obviously depending on whether you requirements are fairly easy to fulfill.
  • Once you have decided which candidates to interview you can provide us with dates/time slots that is convenient for you and we will try our best to fit the candidates into those time frames.

I have interviewed the candidates and want to make a job offer - how do I go about that?
  • You contact us with your verbal offer and we will take it to the candidate - if she agrees to it we prepare a draft contract with most of the details and email it to both yourself and the candidate for perusal.
  • If all parties are happy, employment can commence.  I suggest a "try out" period for two weeks to ascertain that both parties made the right decision, before the contract is signed.
  • This 2 week period, should employment continue, will form part of the guarantee period of 12 weeks.  If after this period both parties are sure about their decision, the contract can be signed.
